We're pleased to announce that Lancashire-based Allspeeds Ltd, a leading hydraulic and cutting tools specialist, has invested in a Hwacheon 230 BLYMC.

The company, based in Accrington, manufactures the Webtool range of high-performance cutting tools — has invested in a new horizontal turning centre with C-Axis, Y-Axis and Driven Tools from our partners at Hwacheon in South Korea.

The latest element in the company’s CAD/CAM integrated manufacturing process, the ‘state of the art’ machining centre will reduce production times and increase the scope for new product and custom project developments.

Hwacheon’s 230 BL YMC CNC horizontal turning centres are compact, high-speed machines, able to provide precision machining of small- and medium-size parts for Allspeeds’ range of products, including Webtool hydraulic cutters and Tangye hydraulic jacks. Utilising the machining centres’ stable bed structure, high-speed spindle performance, 80mm bar feed and Y-axis capability, enables parts production in a fraction of the time it previously took.

Keith Elliot, Allspeeds managing director, said:

“The addition of a Y-axis milling capability enables more components to come off complete without the need for secondary milling operations, reducing cost and lead times.”

"Ward HiTech and in particular, Steve Nicholas, made the process of purchasing a new machine very easy and we are very pleased with the end product"
